In this release, we have fixed a bug that caused the Keyword search not to work on the home page. The release also suppresses an error that happens in case of invalid color code being used Color-type custom fields.

The release is tested with Showcase version 3.2.18.

In this release, we have implemented new permission called Can use custom field filters. The permission can be used by admins to enable/disable item custom field filters per usergroup and category.

In this release, we have implemented a Clear button in the filter form, next to the Filter button. Pressing the button resets filters. The button is not shown in the filter form until some filters are applied.

This version fixes a bug appearing when admins use the option "Value display HTML" for a custom field using HTML that breaks the layout in the Active filters bar. The HTML will be stripped away now and only the raw value will be shown in the bar.

This version enhances location support using the latest upgrade of Location custom field add-on. Now you can choose to hide the default distance unit in the filter form. From this version on, Google API key should be specified in the Location custom field add-on options. Please verify these options after upgrade. It also fixes a bug with the option Maximum result count that would not allow 0 as a value.

This version fixes a UI bug that applies for the boards, that use "Enable filterable drop-down lists" in combination with "Auto Reload". The list of options would disappear when the form reloads exactly at the moment when the popup is open.

This version implements compatibility with XenForo 2.2.

If the filter URL is modified and the values of multiple-selection fields are changed intentionally (e.g. with an attempt to cause an error in the website or execute SQL injection), there would be a PHP error logged in the admin panel. However, this would not cause any visible errors or unexpected SQL queries. With this release, we have made sure these invalid values don't make their way to built-in XenForo functions that expect only valid values.

This version fixes a compatibility issue with Elasticsearch 7.x versions.

Text: The update fixes the error logged in the Server Error - "Unsupported operand types". The error would accure in cases of a forum not having configured any filterable custom fields.

In some cases number type fields are used for data that does not require number formatting (eg if the custom field represents years, it should not be shown as "2.020" but "2020". We have added an option that allows admins to list the IDs of such custom fields, and they will not be formatted in the output.

The release also fixes a bug that would log a PHP error in some cases if the option "Total count indicator is active".

Important Note: If you are using several of our Filter add-ons, please disable them before applying the upgrade. Upgrade all add-ons and only after that enable the products.

The release fixes a bug with a Facet search showing the wrong number of matching results. The issue was related to Elasticsearch optimization considering only the top results, so the options that had fewer matching items would be shown as having no documents. The issue does not affect you if you are using MySQL as a search index or you are not using the Facet search option.

This version adds a new option - "Enable filterable lists". The option turns usual single and multiple selection lists into filterable lists. This helps users finding the option they are looking for on large lists. The implementation may be not fully performance on very large lists of options (1000+) for mobile devices.

This is a minor release, that changes the way the add-on is using some of our shared PHP classes. From now on, the add-on will require a core library package from https://xenforo.com/community/resources/al-core-package.7382/ to be installed. Please download the package and install it before upgrading the add-on. Please upgrade all other AddonsLab add-ons you are using to their latest versions if you see an error in the Admin Panel about files with unexpected content.

This release fixes a compatibility issue with UI.X themes (filter icon not shown correctly on mobiles) as well as resolves an edge case when Showcase home page filter would show no results if there is a custom widget on the same page showing Showcase items.

The release fixes an error with ElasticSearch that could appear in case of a malformed URL with multiple prefixes.

In this release we have implemented a widget, for a quick lookup in showcase database by item title. The title is suggested based on user's input. Submitting the form takes to the showcase homepage filtered by the keywords in the title. This usually means the item with that title will be on top of the list, but there may be cases when some other items match the keywords better. The "Keywords" input in the filter form itself will also now auto-suggest based on item titles.

This release fixes a minor UI bug which would cause the filter form above item list not to disappear when Off-canvas menu is active.

In this release, we have implemented the off-canvas filter menu for mobile view. If enabled, the forms in all other locations will be hidden on mobile view and a filter icon will be added next to the search icon or replace the default Filters link, clicking which the filter menu will slide in from the left side.

The menu supports all features of usual filter forms, like AJAX reloading, pre-populated form with current filters after page load, removing of active filters etc. The option to enable the menu is available in the product's setting page and is disabled by default. Also there is an option to control where the filter icon should appear when the off-canvas filter menu is enabled. By default, it will be added above item list, replacing the default "Filters" link that would open the filter popup with an icon. Clicking the icon the off-canvas menu will open. Another alternative is to add the icon next to the Search and Alerts icon in the user bar.

This version fixes a bug that could cause empty custom fields form if the option "Multiple category search mode" is set to value "All".

The release allows customization of the filter form on the Showcase index page and the search page. Previously, only the custom fields shared by all categories would be shown. Now, this is an option - "Multiple category search mode", and changing its value to "All fields" you can show all custom fields from all categories in the form.

Another enhancement in this version is the ability to see each prefix in the active filters list and remove them individually.

The release fixed a compatibility issue with Showcase 3.1.4 version. Starting from this version Showcase 3.1.4 will be the minimum version supported.

Due to a limitation on how many items are returned by the initial search based on prefixes (200 by default), their further filtering by category and custom fields could end up with a missing or incomplete list of found items. The issue is fixed now by raising the limit based on option "Maximum result count" (10000 by default).

The version fixes a PHP error caused by Elasticsearch 2.x incompatibility. Your installation is not affected by the issue if filtering brings any results with ES enabled. We have also implemented a new option to set Cache TTL controlling how long the results of the search should be cached in the MySQL database. Setting the option to 0 will disable the cache. The option should be used only to troubleshoot issues that could be caused by invalid cache.
